A 21-day roundtrip through three amazing countries. All 3 I've visited before. Some places again, some for the first time.

From Puerto Natales to Punta Arenas

This time the bustrip was not too long. "Event on our way": flock of sheep, about 14,000 of them! Was some experience to see them moving, guided by the Gauchos on their horses and with their dogs.

Arrived in Punta Arenas in the early afternoon. Because of Chrismas it was very quite in town, shops closed, everybody spending time at home with their family??

Old fashioned, nice atmosphere hotel
December 25 – 2008 Christmas

We arrived in Punta Arenas in the early afternoon. Because of Christmas all shops were closed. It was very quite in the streets (family day!!).

We were staying, for one night, in Hotel Plaza, situated a few steps away from Plaza de Armas.
An old fashioned hotel, desk at the first floor. As far as I know no elevator, some strong guys in our group were very nice to carry upstairs all the luggage.
We had a room at the front of the hotel. Curtains with flowers :-) Kind of atmosphere I don’t want at home, but which I like in a hotel ;-)
Good bathroom.

We had lunch in another hotel, around the corner: Los Hornos. A very nice, modern decorated hotel. Walls tiled with granite, very different from the hotel we were staying. Beautiful.
