This wil be mainly a photo blog. Might do some more writing later on.
On Dec. 17 2008 we left Amsterdam, The Netherlands, first an Air France flight to Paris, Charles de Gaulle airport. About two hours later we boarded another Air France flight to Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Two nights Buenos Aires and a lot of sightseeing in this great city. I like the atmosphere very much.
On Dec. 20 we had a domestic flight to El Calafate, where we stayed 3 nights. From El Calafate we had the marvellous experience to visit National Parc Los Glaciares. The Perito Moreno glacier was just breath taking.
From there we crossed the border to Chile where we stayed 3 nights. First in the beautiful Torres del Paine national parc, then in Puerto Natales, (what's in a name) - had a very nice Christmas Eve diner there - and the third night we stayed in Punta Arenas.
Then back to Argentina, a three night stay in Ushuaia, the most southern town. From where we visited Tierra del Fuego, the Beagle Channel and did a great off road trip (4Wheel-drive).
From Ushuaia another domestic flight back to Buenos Aires. Next day a long, but very comfortable bustrip to Foz do Iguacu. We crossed the Brasilian border.
Visiting Foz do Iguacu from the Brasilian and the Argentinian side was just a great experience!! We celebrated New Years Eve in Brasil, a great party!
The last domestic flight brought us to Rio de Janeiro, a city within a breathtaking scenery, where we spent another 3 nigths (and great days!) before flying back to Paris - France (snow in Europe!) - Amsterdam - Netherlands (Jan. 6 - 2009).
