This is a diary of my adventures in Israel in 2009.

Touchdown - Off and Running to Dublin

I landed in Israel a day after I took off from Philly.
Good thing I cough some ZZssss on the plane.
Because I was going to need them.
I was met at Ben Gurion Airport by my good friend Debbie & Dani.
I gave Debbie the special delivery of Cheese Cakes from the Cheesecake factory.  Yes Cheesecake, all the way from Philadelphia.
I told you we were good friends. :-)
No sooner were we in the car than Debbie was planning my night's entertainment.
Ya gotta love friends like that!!!
So, off we zoomed to their apartment in Kfar Saba where I caught a quick shower and then I had dinner with Debbie & Dani.

After dinner I met up with Debbie's friend Vanessa and we headed to Dublin Pub in Herzliya.
Great place for a laid back night of drinking, dancing, and air hockey.
Yes and Air Hockey machine at a pub in Israel.

Dublin, a hidden Gem straight from the Emerald Isle
I got off the plane, had dinner with friends and then went straight to Dublin. A pub taken straight from the Emarald Isle and sequestered in a nook of Herzliya.

The decor inside reminds you of a cathedral with the stain glass windows and all. The outdoor bar has low chairs set up around tables with a big screen TV, very relaxed.

A decent beer selection from many a nation. A beer can run as high as 28 Shekels (about $7).

If you are going at night, get there before 10pm if you want to get a table.

Around 11pm the DJ starts up and the bar gets a rockin. A fun place to dance, play air hockey, or lounge at the outdoor bar patio.
