A total memory mess

This trip was very exciting, but I don't remember very well the order in which things happened. The first thing to say about it is that we were actually planning to go to Mexico City and neighboring cities like Puebla and Tula. Unfortunately, on the way there, we stopped at a gas station and everybody went to the restroom, but nobody loaded gas, lol. We incredibly started driving again, and the car stopped in the middle of nowhere. We had no idea what was going on, until somebody realized that we actually didn't load gas at the gas station. LOL!!!
We weren't sure what to do, but me and a buddy had to walk about 2 miles in the middle of the night to get to the next town. The other guy (and smarter) remained with the girl, and God knows what happened but they started a sentimental relationship right there hehe.
The thing is that we came back with the gas, and had a bit of trouble to get the truck to start. It did start but it wasn't working well (stopping every minute), so we decided to stop in Zacatecas for the night.
We had extreme problems to find accomodation, as there was a music and art festival held in the city at the moment, and everything was packed. We found a small hotel that was very dirty, but all we wanted was to sleep. Next day we were again looking for hotels, and we found this small hostel downtown, of which I made a review. It was wonderful! They were actually full, but the owner was from Chihuahua, so he gave us a chance to stay in the lobby, lol.
It was Sunday, so every mechanical workshop was closed. We had to wait until Sunday to see what had happened to the truck, so we decided to tour Zacatecas a bit.
On Monday we were told that the car needed a better mechanical job, so we would be unable to resume our trip down to Mexico City. I was a bit frustrated at first, but then we thought it was best to stay in Zacatecas for the whole week and enjoy the city. It was quite lively because of the music fest, and we could enjoy some live music in the main square.
Driving in the streets of Zacatecas can be a nightmare, especially with a pick up truck or SUV. At a certain point we decided to take tours or just walk.
There was emotion, anger, joy, stress and lots of fun in that trip. It's one of the most emotionally charged trips I have ever had. But it will remain in my memories as long as I live.
