Foz do Iguacu is one of the most beautiful places on earth. There are about 300 waterfalls along with beautiful flowers and exotic animals. The falls border Brazil & Argentina similar to how Niagara Falls border the US & Canada. We stayed in the hotel within the Brazilian park. They served breakfast on a patio looking out toward one of the biggest & most beautiful falls. Spectacular.

The Brazilian park has some trails for viewing & pretty easy to maneuver. We took a guided tour in the Argentinian park which provided an up close perspective, as more of the falls are on the Argentinian side. We were even able to walk out over some of large falls on a small bridge which gives the most unique perspective. While the trails are not as well maintained as in American parks, they did have a good range of options for more or less adventerous hikers.

The highlight of the trip was the boat ride. Having been on the Maid of the Mist, I wasn't so excited about a boat ride around the falls. I clearly didn't know what to expect - it was an 8-passenger boat with a fearless driver! We even went under some of the small falls! It was like an extended roller coaster ride with the most beautiful scenery.

If you have the opporunity, Foz do Iguacu is a must see!
