The old fishermen

I chose to spend Memorial Day weekend at "the camp".  We got there on Saturday afternoon and were tired from driving so we just relaxed for the rest of the day drinking Gin and Tonics and some V8 Splash Rum concocsion.  It was the first time our new dog Roscoe had been to the camp and he was loving every minute of it.  One of the first things he did was head straight for the lake.  We turned in early that night so we could leave in time to catch the whirlpool Old Sow doing her thing.  When we got there we were a little lost, but we found it turns out it in someones backyard.  We stood on the edge of the property untill the owner came out and told us just to come on over so we did.  A few other people had turned up to watch the whirlpool as well.

We saw Old Sow and a few more little whirlpools kick up.  We could not see the sty but we could see the whirlpool spinning.  Some birds cam and landed on the water and we watched them move around in a circle on the waters surface it was a riot.  After about 45 minutes of watching we headed back to the car.  My mother and my aunt were dissapointed because the whirlpool was not putting on a full display but I was still excited I got to see it and I can always go back.  After gettin gback to the car we headed to Perry to visit the 45th Parrallell but it was not open.  After that it was back to Woodland for our traditional stop at Knock On Wood to do some shopping.  Then back to camp for more Gin and Tonic and Rum with V8.
