At 42 years old I board Amtrak from New Orleans to Atlanta for my first train ride!

8th & Final Stop - Get All Your Luggage

I have found it difficult to pack considering I am now a gypsy.  I live out of my suitcases.  What to leave what to take is incredibly important now.  With Amtrak, you can check 3 rather large bags and have 2 carry-ons at no additional charge. I was able to bring all I needed.  This adventure lasted only about 12 hours and my coach seat was fine, but if the trip were longer, I would see the necessity to get a private sleeper.  As far as traveling by train goes..... I would give it an A-.  Lower the snack prices and add WiFi and Amtrak would have an A+ from me!  This adventure only cost me $58 USD!!
