To we left the homestay and now off to Puno, Peru near Lake Titicaca. We drive back to Patahuasi and say good bye to our colca canyon guides.
Before on route we stop at a cave to observe some traditional carvings.
We make a good stop at a neat lagoon before heading all the way to Puno.
We cross the Andes today ascending at the Puno on the Peruvian shores of Lake Titicaca. The folklore capital of Peru. Puno is famous for its traditional dances.
As we are approaching Puno, one member on board our van is now sick from altitude, however we are lower then before. He is put on oxygen for a few minutes, once again someone else sick AGAIN from the elements.
We arrive in Puno at our accomodation and settle in. We go with Andres for some dinner at a nice restaurant to which many of us have pizza for supper and a beer,
Andres gives us bit of a walkabout of the town and we go to the Centre square as well.
Seems like a good town and we head back to accomodation and just have a quiet evening watching CSI on my tv, then Bed.
