To we get up around 430am and have a great breakfast at the next door hotel. An all you can eat breakfast buffet with everything you want. However It seems a few people in the group are sick again from last nights food. All well.
Anyways we make it to the line to get on the buses to take us up the mountain to the Machu Pachu. This is the grand daddy site of all in all of Peru, the thing that everyone comes to Peru to see.
Machu Picchu, the royal retreat of the Incan emperos Pachacuti, sits atop the Urubamba Valley in Peru. Meaning "Old Mountain" in the Quenchua Indian language, the complex was constructed in the 15th century as a place for the emperor and his retinue to relax, hunt or entertain foreign dignitaries.he site also boasts Huayna Picchu Mountain, which looms nearly 1000 feet above terraces, plazas, and stone ruins as mists swirl up from the Urubamba river.
We are met this morning by Jacob who just finishes the Inca trail and meets us for the group photo of Machu Pachu. During this time, 3 people are throwing up in the area and they decide that is enough for them.
We do the tour of the Machu Pachu and there is so many things to take photos of this place. It is so amazing.
Then we do a small hike up the Inca trail to the Sun Gate to get the different prospective of this amazing site.
Afterwards its back down the mountain to Aquas Calente, for lunch then we wait for the train out then take a van back to Cuzco.
Back to Cuzco, make a good evening and we have a free day in Cuzco tomorrow morning.
