Hampton Inn Front Royal

I went with my friend, Mark, to Shenandoah National Park over Memorial Day weekend. We also stopped in DC to catch a Nationals game in their new stadium.
Best Choice in Front Royal
Front Royal is the gateway town for the northern entrance to Shenandoah Park. The town has recently started to expand northward even north of I-66 with newer shopping centers and restaurants. Most of the hotels closer to the park are of the old one story variety. While you can definitely find much cheaper accommodations at one of these places, the Hampton Inn provides a more comfortable, clean, and quiet place to stay. Even though it is located on the opposite side of town from the park, Front Royal is small enough that it is a short and easy drive. Even staying there on Memorial Day weekend was no problem with traffic.

I think this is where my family stayed a few years back when we visited Skyline Caverns.
