After three years of part time graduate work, the big day arrives!

Getting Prepared

Originally I had no plans to walk at graduation.  I was just happy and relieved to finally be done.  The last year has been crazy stressful with all the extra work compared to the earlier classes.  However, when I started to get information on graduation and realized that it was over Memorial Day weekend, I asked my parents if they thought they could come down.  They checked their calendars and said yes!

I had taken all my classes at satellite sites and had never stepped on the College of Notre Dame's campus once.  However to buy my gown, cap, and hood, I needed to go to their bookstore.  So on my only free Saturday in the midst of track season, I drove up to Baltimore (with directions in the passenger seat) to make my purchase.  I had more trouble finding the bookstore than I did the campus but all worked out!
