The same spot with sun looks much better
And so me made the full circle- start and end in Hongkong. When we came here first time the weather wasn't that great, now it's sunny and awesoem. The same spots look different, and the skyline is much better! We stayed at the same hostel (Chunking Mansion) because we were to lazy to search for a new one, and besides we knew, what we could expect in that place. Besides we got a discount as returning guests, so... it was good. We payed also almost 50% in advance and that was another small discount, but... i lost the receipt of that payment. So when we came to the hostel, we expected problems, but surprisingly the women, who runs the place didnt mind it. We both knew, that she had a record in her bookings-book. And another really nice surprise was, that we got a bit bigger room, with window! and bigger bathroom, and - as if that wasnt much enough - the aircondition worked excellent (unlike the first time there), so we were all happy.
breakfast at Food Republic
- they have so many different food, that we couldnt decide what we wanted to eat;)
The first thing we did was a ferry ride from Kowloon
top HK-island, which we missed last time. Then we checked the schedule for the Lamma Island and headed back to Kowloon, coz we had an appointment there with Zoe. She had just an hour for lunch, so we went to that place in the mall near the Star pier.
RJ, where are the pics with Zoe? I lost mine. ;)
Then we went back again via ferry to HK island and took the ferry to Lamma island. It's a touristy island south of HK where u won't see any car, just those small vehicles, that fit into the narrow paths on the island. It's also known for the sea food market and restaurants. We walked to the beach, passing by the restos and shops, where RJ bought a painting, and i bougth the dry starfish (for the soup).
On the island we saw the smallest firemen car ever, there was some kind of action where the firemen were involved, at the pier, but we didnt know what happened. Maybe some one jumped into the sea, or... whatever. Then we came back to the hostel, quick shower and off we go to the night market in Temple street. All the money we had, was, what RJ had, and because it was the end of the trip, RJ spent all of it.He bought painting (a nother one!) and even one for me;) slamat kLumpel!
He was thinking of something that he could collect, and what would be related to the travels he made and... he found it. It was the labels of the countries flags, that ppl put on their clothes. We found one place with that and he spent quite a lot money for all the countries he visited so far.
skyline - this time two suns;)
In Temple street market we had also our last asian dinner on the street resto, and my last asian beer;). In that moment we got the message from Zoe that she's hungry and free after her work and yoga, but it was like more than an hour after she sent it, and we couldnt go to the meeting point in 5 mins... so we r sorry Zoe, we couldnt come. :((( We spent just too much time for buying stuff at the market and we forgot about the time:(
In the late evening well, it was late night, we went to see the Avenue of stars, which was like a quai walk with some statues (i.e. Bruce Lee) and those hollywood-like stars on the pavement with names of known chinese stars.
That was the last look for the cool Hongkong skyline, and we went home.
