huge breakfast included
The second day in RJ's hometownbegan with the best breakfast ever! We got so much stuff - all reall filipino food - that i would call it rather dinner than the breaky:). You can refer to the pics, although we ate some of the stuff already before taking pics, and then we got new dishes. but it was pretty much food for 4 or 5 ppl - not just for two of us. Then we walked a bit around the main plaza in Pagsanjan, visiting the former school of RJ and the main church. Then we visited tito Mike in his office. And coz the mayor was not in town, we could enter his ofice and play at his desk:)  Then we - lazy bones - took the tricycle to the house of RJ's family, where he grew up.
dried fish for breakfast?
The grandma - mamy-lola was uber-happy when she saw her grandkid. Then every one was asking about life and family members. And we stayed there for lunch (for more info what we had for the family meal - refer to the picture).
After meal the other uncle (i dont remember all the names anyway) took us in his car to the resort somewhere up the hill, but before we got there, the rain started to harass us;) so we wnt back to town, on the way down the hill there was nice view over the Laguna de Bay with the village and rice fields. Then we had some walk around Pagsanjan, to another former school of RJ and to the ricefields...
RJ was a bit afraid of the locals, coz we went to the narrow streets far from the main road, but tehy didnt kill us nor showed any agression. He must have overreacted with this fear;)
Then we came back to lola's house, met another cousins and uncles and so they asked us if we want to play cards.

.. and have some filipino vodka. We agreed and so they bought some alcohol from the neighbours, for RJ's money ahahahha
Poor kLumpel had to sponsor food and even cigarets to the uncles;) then we ate and drank it and left the house, coz we wanted to get the balot - the in-egg-cooked-duck. we were waiting and waiting at the plaza and finally the sellers came with the balots. We went to the hotel and ate it... i mean i ate it coz RJ was too scared (like a kid;) and it was pretty good. Weird, but good. So if you come to Philippines, you shouldnt miss the local delicious food, even if it seems a bit 'scary' or 'unusual'. I did try it and i'm still alive!
