3 days trip to Overbridge

We had to pack a weekend bag and left our suitcase in the Eco Inn Resort in
We walked to the Pier at the Torarica Hotel, our ‘cruise ship’ was waiting already J
Started with sunny weather, but soon had some rain. This is how it was during the day, sunny, rainy and the other way around.
Cruising the Suriname river we first passed Fortress Zeelandia and the Wijdenbosch bridge.
Our first stop was at Domburg, were we all bought a take away lunch to take on the boat.
Second stop was at plantation Laarhoven….. not too lucky with the weather.
Arriving in Overbridge it was sunny again and we had time to relax…… we would stay 2 nigths in this resort.

Tropical resort
Don't expect a luxury resort (although we had a spacy cabin with good beds and a.c.). Cabins have a nice verandah.
The location is just beautiful, right at the beach of the river. You can swim in the river (behind a rail).
Simple but nice (set) menu's in the restaurant.
Without a car no possibilities to go to other places.
We reached the place by boat (almost a day trip from Paramaribo). From the resort we did a halfday trip to "Joden Savanne" (jewish settlement).
Loved swimming in the river and sitting at the verandah :-)
