As usual get out of bed around 5am and out for some early morning pictures and a walk to stretch a bit. Breakfast around 7am and on the road by 7:30am.We were the first one to start from the lodge and it was all the way down to the river to cross a bridge and then walk all the way up to the village of Pangboche. Had some tea and while talking to the locals came to know that a porter who was just 15 yrs old had died there yesterday of AMS and tiredness.

From our hotel in Tengboche there were these 2 kids barely around 15-16 yrs old and carrying huge amount of load on their backs. It’s a tough life up here in the mountains for manual labor. We stopped in Shomare for lunch around 11am and were on the road again by 11:45am. The road for the next 30 min for flat and we crossed a few trekkers, one big group of Indian tourists. Reached Dengboche around 1:30pm and same routine of going into the room, freshening up a bit and some snacks and a quick nap. When woke up around 5pm realized everywhere is wet and that it had snowed in the afternoon.

Today’s walk was relatively easy and watching the tip of Everest on the way. Rest of the mountains is visible close by at Dengoche where we are surrounded by these huge Himalaya Mountains all around 8000 meters high. Evenings the clouds covered most of the peaks but still could get some good view/photos.

Not many people in this lodge today and so had dinner with the lodge owner and other guides/porters. Went to bed around 8pm and still could not get much sleep the whole night. Got out of bed around 3am with a breathtaking view of the mountains covered in snow and shining in the moonlight, but I did not have any night lens so could not capture this beautiful scenery on camera. After that did not get any sleep and kept looking at my watch every 30 min.
