We skied down to our usual meeting place, and the group headed off in search of some more challenging runs. Today we ventured to the other side of the resort, where we would be tackling some tougher blue runs. All we had learnt before in our lessons would come in handy for these runs, and as we applied the basics to these steeper runs, we took them confidently. So far so good.
We were super confident that afternoon, and had a really great ski together. The conditions were excellent and Niki mentioned that it was some of the best snow she has ever skied on. Dave and I had also grown fond of getting up some serious speed on long steep slopes, and we made the most of the flat runs today.
We had skied for ages today, and literally the only thing that could pluck us from the slopes was the call of food! Hungry after such a day, we were glad to realise that tonight was the night to cash in on the meal we won at the quiz on Monday. We made our way to the Frog and Roast Beef, the highest pub in Europe no less, where we all ordered the biggest burgers on the menu. I opted for the Hawaiian burger and fries, and was delighted with what might be the best burger I've ever had!
Fed but not fully watered, we headed out to a couple of bars and began the drinking of alcohol again! I'd like to write a bit more about what happened from here on in but I can't, for the life of me, remember. Although I vaguely recall drinking some shots...
