i feel the adrenaline movin through my veins, spotlight on me and im ready to break
We got up early to get ready for our 11am flight, went downstairs and had some of our free continental breakfast. I got up at 6:30! Which for me, is huuuge..I usually get up at like 11 or 12! After breakie we drove to a magical place called Masterpark, when you leave your car while you're away. Its a pretty good set up. We checked into our flight to Denver, then went and sat around til our plane came(very late, I might add! Freakin Frontier Airlines..We got into Denver a few hours later. Wandered around the airport, found some food at McDonalds. Used some free wifi..caught our plane to Las Vegas. A side note about people..whyyy do they feel like they need to get to the front of the line at boarding time?? EVERYONES GUNNA GET ON THE PLANE people just need to relax.
Makes me sooo angry. One of my biggest peeves. So we boarded the plane and were on our way to VEGAS BABY. So exciting. We landed at about 5pm, got our luggage and caught a taxi to Planet Hollywood! It was preetty hot outside..We went round the back way because thats apparently how you get to PH. We pulled up to the lobby and went in to check in. We got our rooms...1860 and 62!! Woo 18th floor. Every room is themed to a different movie, with props from the actual set. To our pleasant surprise, we got the Titanic room! Some lovely photos of Kate and Leo on our walls. Lovely. We pretty much set our stuff up in our room and went down to the strip to have dinner. We walked to the Outback Steakhouse, at the MGM Grande. It wasn't our birthday yet but we figured we'd give ordering a drink a try.
And it worked! They guy even looked at our ID, which said May 15th. Linds ordered a ginormous Corona, I got a James Boags beer, good ole Tassie beer! Yummy. We had dinner and afterwards we took a taxicab to Fremont Street!I was so happy we went there, it was on my list of things to see..and now I know why! It was amazing, very cool to see old vegas. I see why its called the Glitter Gulch..very bright and shiny. We walked up and down Fremont street, saw the Fremont Street Experience twice, which was really cool! The first show had the song American Pie..was really cool. John bought us some giant football drinks, that were really yummy..but also made me feel sick later. Very sugary. We also gambled a couple bucks in a slot machine for the first time! Awesome.
We also ran into some Chippendales..they made us get pictures with them that cost money. Luckily John was on the ball and took photos of us with them with his camera. After we were done on Fremont st we went back to PH to get ready to go out for our birthday! We got changed and our friend Chris from highschool came over to our room, he was there with a few friends and we were going to meet them at the club LAX at the Luxor. We had a few beers in our room, then went downstairs and met my mom and John at the eXtra lounge. We had a birthday drink there. And there was a lounge singer who Chris informed was our birthday, and he came over and sang Brown Eyed Girl to us, but also made us sing. It was awesome. After that we headed to the Luxor..
I suggested taking a taxi!! Chris was all noo we don't need a cab..but I said think of my poor feet! But we had to walk. Bad news for me. By the time we got to the Excalibur my feet were actually bleeding! It was baad. I blame Chris, I made him carry me to the Luxor. We got there at like 12:30-1ish and went in. It was pretty nice, heaps of people inside, but no line. Inside we met the other people that Chris were with. The 2 girls took us into the VIP section, which was sweet. But the guys weren't allowed in..so we went back out. Lindsay went back at like 2, I stayed and wandered around the strip for a while(with no shoes on, my feet were murdered!) I got back to the hotel at like..5? I can't remember...|
