My next big trip out of Vancouver and into the rest of BC was the first leg of my roadtrip last summer that would take me North to Alaska and the Yukon, and south through Montana and Wyoming to California. It was a fantastic trip and a visit to the spiritual Queen Charlotte Islands was a memorable way to start. Like my trip to Campbell River, I've written about this trip in a seperate blog, so see that one for more details and more gushing about how amazing it is there!

A few highlights:
- Leaving the car in Prince Rupert, taking our bikes across on the ferry and riding around the island
- Having people think we had ridden our bikes all the way from Vancouver. It's hard to correct people when they're so darn impressed
- Riding alongside deer who would leap along the sides of the roads next to you
- The mysterious mist that hung over the islands
- Squeezing 3 people into a 2-person tent when camping
- The Moon Over Naikoon bakery only a short walk from our cabin
- Playing with cameras on our very own beach
- Tow Hill and our new appreciate for tarmac
- Riding 120km in one day back to Queen Charlotte City... in the rain.... and wind
