Our final day we were up early....again....but only because we wanted to get some more time in Oban before having to catch our trains back to London.  So after a delicious breakfast of fresh homemade scones and tea (which cost us a whopping 50p total, by the way.  yeah, screw you London prices), we set off on a walk to the outskirts of the town to Dunollie Castle.

Purposely ignoring the Warning Sign once at the castle, we took full advantage of the completely un-secured site...walked all through it, up to the second level, peaking into dark crevices and passageways.  It was a brilliant old ruin.  15th century, according to my intense Wikipedia research.  And yet again, we had the entire site to ourselves with not another soul in sight.  I seriously think I'm spoiled for all my future travels....I'll kill myself next time I'm in a crowded museum in the centre of some giant European city.

It was a leisurely 30-minute stroll back into Oban after we had satisfied ourselves with the castle, and we just had a few spare minutes to peak into some cute shops and buy some drinks before grabbing our bags from the hostel and jumping back on the train to Glasgow.

I've enjoyed reading this blog. If you're wondering why the sudden love , it's becuase I'm thinking of visiting Mull myself in June. I'm curious why you didn't stay in Tobermany (or wahtever that town's called). Looks like that's the "central" attraction. Also, do you think there's enough to do there for 4-5 days. I'll be flying in from the US, then have to do London - Glasgow and then Mull, so I do want to stay for at least 5 days seeing as the journey itself could take a good day!
