I moved to Hawaii to study to get my masters degree. I have been visiting lots of great places and want to share them with you. Welcome to Oahu...

Just Another Day

Isn't it funny that  you can live in one of the most beautiful places in the world and eventually not even realize it. You start to take advantage of living within 5 minutes of the beach and pretty soon you just forget about the beauty that is surrounding you. This is kind of how I feel living in Hawaii. Everything becomes mundane and I don't even think about the sunshine and warm weather that is my life everyday. I guess in some cases this could be okay because now I don't have a problem going to work everyday but it is kind of sad isn't it?

Has anyone else ever felt like this...you just forget that you live in paradise or your home is beautiful.

I guess the old saying is true---don't build your house facing the waterfall because you'll never really see it. I'm pretty sure the same applies to living in paradise.

Oh my gosh, yesterday I realized I hadn't seen the ocean for 3 weeks. I live literally 40 seconds from the shore. I've been pretty much getting up, driving to work, coming home in the dark, going to bed. tomorrow... -sigh-
