The Kremer Collection, Frans Hals Museum, Haarlem, Netherlands
The Kremer Collection is a fabulous collection of about 50 masterpieces of art (mostly paintings) dated in the 17th century.
My personal favourites are "Jong dienstmeisje " ("A young maidservant") painted by Michael Sweerts and "Tronie van een oude man met tulband" ("Bust of an old man with turban") painted by Rembrandt Harmensz van Rijn.
You will find the collection in the Frans Hals Museum until June 14 2009.
Haarlem is about 20 kilometres from Amsterdam (15 minutes by train and a 15 minutes walk from the railwaystation to the museum).
More information and photos of the collection at: www.franshalsmuseum.nl or www.thekremercollection.com
I'll add some photos of Haarlem, it was not allowed to take pictures inside the museum visiting "the collection".
