But yes, I should start from the beginning. Nearly 8 hours in a colorful Nepali bus was fun but it was even more fun to arrive in a place where the air was crisp and fresh. It was a great change from the crowded city streets of Agra, Delhi, Jaipur…
Finally we found ourselves surrounded by animals, safari, rivers, beautiful small village but the best part was when we saw our hotel for the first time.
Sepana Village Lodge combined two 2-story beautiful buildings. All of the rooms had a door entrance from the yard and a porch to relax on, not to mention the views. Couple of steps down and we all could hang out by the bar combined with a restaurant and a gorgeous launge all set outdoors overlooking the safari. Of course it was not a high class resort but for us it felt like a castle.
On our first day in Chitwan we all went to the elephant breeding centre. It was great seeing all those great animals in environment that although still in captivity resembled their natural home much more than behind the bars at the zoo. It was also great to see couple of my friends excited to see the baby elephants - for them it was an absolute highlight.... ->
