On the day, 9th May, we were all ready for this special meetup event;) We had arranged to meet infront of the central station of Den Bosch at 10am.
I was out the door at 8.10am to catch the 8.22am train to Utrecht. In the train I received a call from Wally saying he would be late and probably couldn't make it for the 09.22am train to Den Bosch.
I told him, I'll wait in Utrecht for him, no worry.
When I arrived in Utrecht, I saw a man standing infront of one of the atm machines, he looked like Wally, so I walked into that direction, and in a minute he turned his face towards me, and yes is Wally;) I waved at him and he waved back at me.
We quickly went down to the platform and got into the train, got ourselves a seat.
We made it! Yippee yea yea yippee yippee yea:P
In Den Bosch we saw Gajah and Hans already there waiting for us. I asked Gejah, "Where is Jos?" Gejah said, "He is in Den Bosch but not here yet, arriving shortly."
We talked about Gejah's trip to states and not long Jos and Devika arrived.
So I get them to take a group photo.
After that we headed to Brussels.
When we arrived in Brussels, found a parking garage, Hans and Jos found a good spot to park their cars, and we took those balloons and party stuff out of the car and wore the hat that Gejah bought.
When Gejah and Mandy were talking on the phone, we had kept very quiet not to let Mandy knew we were there.
When we walked to the Grote Markt in the central, we saw Mandy sitting at a spot waiting and she was really suprised that all of us turn up in this meetup ;) It was really a special moment for Mandy, she felt so touched and her eyes filled with tears while she gave a big hug to her daddy and mummy. She was happy to be back home from her long vacation.
We looked for a cafe to have our afternoon tea and some cakes and pies.
Not too long Christian called me that he had arrived so I went out to the cafe to greet him.
After our teabreak, Christian showed us around in Brussels.
We went to see the Manneken Pis, Belgium's famous iconic statue and took some lovely photos.
We ended up in a cafe for a drink, after that we continued our walking tour in Brussels.
Around 5pm, we were all starting to get hungry, Christian showed us some places for dinner, he recommended a few places, end up we were in Food Factory, where he used to have his lunch there.
They served nice food and prices were economy.
Gejah saw that they have something for birthday celebration, so she placed an order for that.
Another suprise for Mandy:) The restaurant played the birthday song and disco lighting on, the waiter came our with a plate of ice cream with the sparkling fireworks on it, was superb, and Jos had made a short video for that;)
After dinner we headed to Mandy's hotel to get her luggage and quickly we had to start our journey back to the Netherlands in order for Wally to be able to catch a train before midnite.
This was really a great lovely meetup:) Can see from our photos, we have been laughing all day long:) Was really a fun outing for all of us:))
