Day 6 – Rheeze

The day started quite relaxed again with the kids playing with our current neighbour’s kids for a while, and then a craft hour which was organised by the campsite. Normally they have one for three different age groups and I was going to take Jordan to the first and Reagan to the second one, but then it turned out the parents were expected to stay around and I could hardly leave Reagan to wander around on her own for an hour! So we reached a compromise: the girls went together and I stayed with them. The whole thing started with a short play in which tow of the main figures of the whole fairytale theme this park is all about had a discussion about who was the more popular one. Then the kids could choose a picture of the one they liked best to colour in and decorate, and then at the end they it was decision time with another short play.
In the afternoon they could go and be entertained again, this time with face painting, hula hoops, a trampoline and other things to play with.
After swimming we went and ordered pancakes for the kids. (Dinner in the restaurant would have taken forever, it was so busy!) They have pancakes shaped like a bear and a butterfly, which again are characters from the fairy tale. The pancakes were very nice, it was just a shame there was such a long wait to order them! Orders for the snackbar (fries and stuff) and the pancakes had to be made at the same counter, and there was about half an hour’s wait… (admittedly it was a busy time of day.
