The swimming pool

After a great night’s sleep (no accidents today) we all woke up around 8am. Another gorgeous day! The packing started and as we had some time left we decided to go for a last swim in the pool. We were there for about an hour and then went back to the cabin to pack up the last few bits and pieces. We said our goodbyes to the neighbours in the pool where they arrived just as we were leaving.

We left the campsite just before noon, which was check-out time. I had checked the distance we were to ride today last night, and it turned out it wasn’t as far as I had originally thought: only 9 kilometers instead of 15.

Eventually we probably rode about 12 though as we got a little lost. I blame the navigation system: it thought we had turned into a car and kept sending us onto motorways!

When we got to the Sprookjescamping the girls were pleasantly surprised as everywhere you could see there was either a playground, a swimming pool or some other form of entertainment. Of course they wanted to go swimming straight away but I wanted to get unpacked first (and honestly didn’t really feel like going for another swim so soon). We got the key to our cabin which is quite a distance from the main buildings but right opposite a toilet block. The inside is just like all the others but outside is very much out in the open with everyone passing by to use the toilets. It is handy having the facilities so close-by but I would prefer a little more privacy to be honest.

After getting settled we did go to the swimming pool finally.

Jordan in a boat in the toddler pool
I decided to just watch this time. There are lots of different pools indoor and out, and all very shallow so quite safe for the little ones. The indoor pool is very warm and the air is quite humid, not very comfortable when walking around fully dressed! We also had a look around the shop and different restaurants, I think I might treat us to a nice dinner tomorrow. We then went back to the cabin to wait for some fairytale figures to pick up Jordan to take her to the theatre where a show was being put on. While she was gone I quickly made use of the free internet to check my mail and Travbuddy of course! Reagan and I then went to pick Jordan up again and went back to the cabin where I put together another pasta dish (it’s a good thing we all love pasta!). And then it was time to reverse roles: Reagan was being picked up and Jordan and I stayed behind after which we picked up Reagan. Time for an ice cream and a shower and bed after that for the girls.
