Day 2- Balkbrug

After a bit of a restless night (mum, I need to go to the toilet, mum, Iâ€™m too hot/cold/whatever) we finally woke up just after , not bad! We had breakfast and the weather was gorgeous so the kids played outside after that until I decided we were going to cycle into the village to get some supplies. I ended up getting so disposable plates and cups (of which I must have about 100 at home) and bread and cold meats and the likes, plus some ingredients for dinner. We then rode back to the campsite where the girls enjoyed playing outside for most of the day with some new-found friends, and I sat outside reading for a lot of it. It is great not to have to do anything and just relax.
In the afternoon I decided to go for a short bike ride, back to see some nice buildings we rode past in the rain yesterday to take some pictures.
After dinner there was a fishing competition for kids being held at the back of the campsite. Both girls wanted to participate and someone was nice enough to loan us a rod. Some kids got really lucky, one in particular who caught eight fish of which the biggest was
After the fishing competition the girls had a shower and then my stepmother who lives nearby arrived for coffee and to give the girls some colouring in books for the holiday. I havenâ€™t figured out yet where Iâ€™m going to pack themâ€¦ She left around so some more reading and then bed for me, until my phone rang and I ended up talking to a friend for about an hour.
