Day 4 -- Munich and Salzberg
April 18, 2005
After getting off the night train in Munich, we drove to Salzberg, Austria. We met Tibor, our driver for the rest of the trup. He's awesome- so funny. We toured Salzberg in the morning, then went shopping during lunch. It sounds really boring, and only got worse when we found out that we had to wear "protective clothing" like miners wore. Even with the belt, the pants were WAY too big and kept falling off me. But we got to ride a train thingy and two slides to get far enough underground, and then we went on an underground boat ride. We watched a movie, but it was in German with English subtitles, which normally wouldn't be too bad, but the direction and the computer animated graphics were so distracting that I have no idea how they mine salt. Overall, though, it was a lot of fun, even though the pants wouldn't stay up.
