hehe, I would be that happy too if my tummy weren't in knots!
Stomach was still feeling bad despite being on my last day of a weeklong antibiotic treatment. Irene pulled out all the stops to try and make me feel better - made pasta sauce from scratch (although I overdid it cause it was so yummy!) Things started getting a little scary - apparently the 2nd round of antibiotics or the lack of vitamin absorption from the constant stomach problems is starting to make my hair fall out a bit faster than usual. Hopefully this doesn't continue but it's freaky to go through. But I'm slim, woohoo! =) So worried, Irene made me some fresh squeezed orange juice and we made spinach salad the next day, hoping I would absorb some iron and some vit C. She also brought home these adorable heart shaped cookies dipped halfway into chocolate.
Hehee! =) I'm totally spoiled, I know. I'll definitely be returning the favor when she comes to LA =)

We took it easy and watched a movie in the theatres and Irene indulged in a chocolate covered waffle from Hagen Daaz. so lucky! We don't have these offerings in the US! Only ice cream and shakes! Waah!

I've really enjoyed the week indoors sans excitement but I guess when left alone I get the travel bug. Sort of a.. reasonable way to distract myself! Sure beats getting into trouble I guess? Earlier I saw tickets on Air Brussels to Vienna, Prague or Budapest for basically 230 Euro. Not bad not bad, so I'm kinda deciding where to go. Slept on it and the next day, kabam! 488 Euro, enough of a price hike to send me into shock. The next day, I found a trip via Iberia with less intense layovers and also priced at 350 Euro, but it's still enough to make me rethink it considering the flow of money is unidirectional right now. Eek! I thought perhaps I could do a trip to valencia instead - RJ's pictures from his spain trip are so cool! But the airfare turned out to be similarly expensive and with an overnight layover in Madrid that was timed precisely to be too late to tour around Madrid. Great. So back to thinking about Vienna.. luckily Iberia is one of the few airlines that lets you reserve a ticket for 48 hours while you decide. The only other airline that I know that does that is American. So I've got 48 hours...
