Moon over Mediterranean - Mijas Costa, Spain

All is well in Spain. Yesterday (6/8/2009) was a recovery day and a good day for it as the sun was hidden behind wind and clouds. Christy and Sam attempted to microwave a “hard boiled egg”, see image of the results. To follow up, leave it to Christy to order goose turd tapas from a Spanish menu, no image included!

The resort is beautiful and our apartment overlooks the Mediterranean Sea. Our balcony is literally 15 feet above the beach. If you could see that far, looking straight out from our balcony you would be able to see the north coast of Africa. (See,” Moon over Mediterranean” photo taken from our balcony.)

Mijas Costa seems to be a home away from home for the English. Many English tailored restaurants and pubs. We have found, to truly experience the Spanish culture we need to get away from the resort. Tomorrow we head inland for a day trip to Granada. Granada is home to a 13^th/14^th century Moorish palace and fort, with the gypsy caves of Sacromonte nearby.
