Festival of the Holy Spirit

After a refuel in Sydney, I'm off via London and France to South America. I'll try and write as I'm going, but I'm aware that enjoying the road will probably get in the way.

Festival of the Holy Spirit

Stayed at Misty Chill hostel. Nice atmosphere, fantastic breakfast (dulce de leite or jam) ham cheese, milk bread, bread rolls, coffee and fruit, fans don't have a variation on speed, but otherwise fantastic. Good cheap dinner option and fantastic caipirinhas.

The town was having a festival, which was great fun. Soooo much food and dancing, a samba concert and the town itself is gorgeous. Cobble-esque streets and plenty of artisan stuff to look at and beautiful beaches.

Take the bus to Lake Trindade for a day and walk away from the main beach.
there are a couple of nice waterfalls in the area as well.

Friendly relaxed staff, on beach location, mix of dorms and private rooms, free wireless R2/20mins internet, lockers for rent, on street parking, fantastic buffet style breakfast, option for reasonably priced evening meal and discount caipirihnas. Close to town, buses etc.

Had a great time here starting the day with a swim and working up from there. definitely get the caipirihnas.
