My favorite site in Cordoba is Alcaza, also know as "los jardines de los reyes cristianos" This was the summer home of the king and queen of Spain I belive in the 12th century. It is beautiful inside, especially at night. Of course, the garden is amazing and there is a huge horse barn that is quite impressive. During the winter season, you maybe lucky enough to catch the chorus group that sings there (their schedule is posted outside Alcaza, it's usually at night) and it is free!! and the chorus is amazing...but best of all the setting is just perfect...where batter to listen to incredible voices than in a castle!! If you go in the summer time, there are free flamanco shows at night were all the locals hang out. You can watch amazing dances and hear some amazing flamanco singers...all for free. These shows usually run from June-Sept, Mon-Wed, 9-11. But the times may change so just ask the infomation desk of Alcaza located by the entrance to the barn. Where as all these cool shows are free, if you go to visit Alcaza during the day, there is usually an entrance fee 4euros for adults 2 for students, but it free admission on Fridays. Their hours are according to Spanish sieatas so it closes from 2:20-4:30pm the reopens until 6:30 Mon-Fri. And I'm not too sure about the hours on Saturdays. It's super cool if you can catch these free shows! (ps- i love this place so much i want to get married here...but at night, that's when it is thee most spectacular)
