Chilling at Chiling Waterfalls

We all decided to go to “Chiling Waterfalls”. I’m too lazy to write it here, but if you want to know more about the place, just visit this site: http://www.waterfallsofmalaysia.com/51chiling.php hehehe.
Meeting time was 9:00am in front of Menara Jaya Condominium in Petaling Jaya where all the girls live. As usual, Mike and I were late. We arrived there at 9:30am. But not surprisingly, the girls are late too! Haha so we left the place at 10am already.
None of us have an idea how to get there.
We arrived at the trekking entrance at almost noon time. There were already a group of people in there. It looks like a group of university students having their field trip hehehe. We’ve learnt that to get to the waterfalls, we need to trek for 1.5 hours and cross 6 rivers. Isn’t that cool! ;) The weather was perfect; hot and humid so we’re not worried about the water’s current. We started our LONG trek at past noon.
Funny, because we were just about to start heading the trail when we already lost our way as we headed the wrong direction hahaha.
After 2-hr trekking, crossing 6 rivers, we finally made it. The waterfall is humbling. The cool water running from up high was perfect. Though the pool was not as deep as I have expected, but since I don’t know how to swim, it was fine with me hehe. The group of people that we saw from the registration area were already there and having some good time.
Without wasting our precious time, we jumped to the water and enjoyed the moment. Jen, Jen’s sister and her cousin climb up to the rock and jump to the deep part of the fall.
After a while, most of them went back, leaving us and one group of locals. This time around, the place is already all ours. But then suddenly, the clouds became gloomy and started to drizzle. So we hurriedly packed-up our things and left the place before the rain comes. But alas! Just before we cross the 1st river back, the rain started to pour us. It was raining hard! We’re all soaking wet and so as our bags. (* wish I could take pictures but my cam is not water-resistant hehe). We already know the way back so we didn’t get lost. But since it was raining, the current of water made us difficult to cross the rivers. But thankfully, we all arrived at the starting point safely.
And just before we called the trip off, one crazy event happened that night.
It was indeed a nice way to spend this weekend. Tiring but the experience is worth it. And if they plan to go back again, I would definitely join to see the two more waterfalls. But I hope there’s no police incident anymore hehehe.
