Phuket, Thailand
I went to visit my sister who lives in Phuket. She is a teacher and went after the Tsunami hit the area. I was excited to see her because it was the first time in about 4 years! She showed us around and shared stories about the kids she teaches. She teaches young kids so her job can b challenging but she has such a great soul and I'm so proud of all the nice work she has done.
Since the tsunami hit the island has been completely redone and is back and ready for tourism again. It looks so great we wouldn't even know how much devastation their was.
My sister took us orchard shopping to all the local places, which was so cool for me because I am such a flower enthusiast and orchids are my favorite flower! And Thailand has some of the best orchids.
We stay with my sister at her house for a few days then went to Banyan Tree Hotel. My fiance and I wanted some time to ourselves since we have been with groups of people the whole trip. The hotel was amazing. So peaceful and we had our own private pool.
