Jenni and i leaving Managua on our way to Panama
We got a late start because of the festivities from the night before. But once i was awake i was very excited to get the day started. i was a slightly hung over but nothing a bit of coffee and some Advil wouldn't fix. Jenny and her boyfriend Juan Carlos started the day off by showing me around. it is really amazing here, and so different from the states. for one it is very crowed and driving is a bit intense! there is also a lot of trash and gerfedi and everything is heavily guarded by either many guards or high fences with barb wire on the top. but if you look past all this it is quite beautiful. the is a lot of green and flowers and the people, in general, are very nice. we started by checking out the school that Jenni is teaching at. it was closed for the day but we looked around the grounds and it looked very nice. we also went to some local shops and had a nice lunch. we had a flight to panama to catch so we didn't have a lot of time to wonder around. but no worries we will be back. this is just the begging.
i am so excited to go to panama because i was born there. my family lived there for a total of about 1o years because my dad was in the Army... but i only joined for the last five. for as long as i can remember i have wanted to go back. every school report i did as a child was always about panama... if possible. so this to me is a true dream come true!
