We got to bangkok in one piece but I couldn't say the same for my luggage, my borrowed luggage actually.  IT arrived with a corner banged in and some rips and tears but we were on such a time limit I really couldn't complain. We met our friend at the airport and jumped on a train to the central train station. We found out the language barrier was going to be a problem when we didn't know where to stop for the train or that the train would stop. It got to our exit and rolled. Never seeming to stop. We were ready to jump out of it and do a jump and roll but luckily some native people stopped us. The train gradually stopped and we hopped off and went to get out tickets. We were able to purchase some tickets for the overnight train to south thailand.
Standing at the open door of the moving train early morning.
W had reservations for the following day on Ko Samui. However we had to book it cause our train was leaving in 5 minutes.
We find the end of the train and its rumbling ready to go... We are at part 30 and need to get to part 3. We wander down a few parts but this train is going to leave without us on it so we hop on at 27. Then we proceed to walk down the train the whole way. Not a fun idea. Our wheels and luggage were to big to fit between the seats especially as there were people and their things in the way. It took us about a good half our to get to our seats. The train has been moving for a while and we are hot and tired.. The seats we bought were a bench that two of us were supposed to fit on at a time. Yikes! There werent many people on board so we spread out. Lying on our luggage or each other. Any way to get comfortable.
The train traveled over night and we woke early. We watched the amazing scenery as it passed. Watched the sun rise over the horizon and then finally arrived at our destination... where a bus ride awaited us.. then after that.. a boat ride.. then the beautiful Ko Samui!!
