Time for Another Trip
April 23, 2009
This time the plan is to spend a month or so in the Midwest, mostly Kansas, and drive around visiting the rural America I grew up on. Maybe I've had enough of being cooped up in my suburban living room, but it's also a time to visit family and friends as well as prepare for the next chapter in my life. This is my springboard for another change, hopefully one that will eventually push me towards a livelihood and income generation.
Mark and I had dinner at Il Pizzico, one of the best Italian restaurants in the DC area. It would be my last evening on the East Coast for a month and I'd be leaving early the next morning. For once, I felt very little stress even though the reality of the 10-hour drive hadn't set in. With my alarm set for 6:25 in the morning, I finally fell asleep around 11.
