Here we go !
Here is the official start of the road trip. Made a CD of road tunes for the drive that really made it fun in between the sights.Leave Melbourne @10:20am and head to Geelong the actual start point of "The Great Ocean Road". Vist Torquay,Belles Beach,where surfing was "invented". It was really cool to see all the surf shops that had been there for many years before anyone had ever heard of Billabong,Quicksilver, Rip Curl etc. There was a Rip Curl competion on as we drove through. That was very cool. On to Cape Otway lighthouse which we climbed and then make "Twelve Apostles" for sunset.How amazing is this place?You could easily take a hundred pictures here. And the timing of catching it at sunset was even better. Timing really is everything. Beautiful views,beautiful company really made this a surreal experience. Arrive in Warnambool to overnight about 8:30pm. The end of a really special day.
