Change comes to us all...
As a people, we are in a constant state of change. We never stand still. From the moment we're born to the moment....until the moment we stop. From birth our bodies never stay motionless and are in a constant state of flux.
The only thing about us that never changes is our eyes and even they do not stop changing for the first few months of our life. Our bodies change, turning us from fragile little babies into hardened bodies fit for all that life can throw at us until it chips away at us slowly returning us to our fragile states.
It is hard to find a constant in our lives when all around us is changing.
The only true constant in life is change. We need the things around us to change so that we can feel as if we have not changed at all.
The oceans are a constant in our life. They are always there and always will be. They are always moving. They are always moving. At every minute of everyday there is something different about the ocean yet something that will never change. The ocean is never the same size. Some of it evapourates into the atmosphere only to form clouds and rain down somewhere else and eventually flow back towards the sea.
The wise old turtle embraces the ebb and the flow of the ocean and changes with it.
From the very moment the baby turtle pushes it's head through the sand and spies the white crest of the waves lapping upon the sandy shore, it's life will never be the same again for better or worse. For the rest of her life, the ocean is going to be a fundamental aspect to the turtle's growth and experiences.
Some times change is thrust upon us.
Sometimes we seek it out.
What is important, is what we do with it when it happens.
This is a year of change for me. I have so many decisions to make based on past decisions. I have to decide if circumstances have change or if I still want the same thing. I have made many more friends in the last year. Some of my best friends. Having such close friends living in different countries has been different and so far I have definitely made the most of this.
Now I am at a stage in my life were I need a change. I have become so wrapped up in the last 8 years of my life with the idea of attaining one goal. With this goal finally in sight, I have begun to realise that although the past 8 years have been packed full, I still can't help but think something was missing...
Life is change...
