Since my father in law passed away 9 years ago, we rarely stayed over night in Kuala Selangor, my husband's hometown, even though he has 2 sisters who stay in Kuala Selangor. Not to bother them, usually we stay at the hotel in Kuala Selangor.Furthermore the hometown is not too far from my house in Shah Alam.It takes about one  hour journey. We used to stayed in De Palma Hotel.

De Palma hotel is in a small town in Kuala Selangor. There are many tourist's attraction s here such as Bukit Malawati, an old Dutch Port, home of fire-flies,colonial light house, nature park and many others. All among these, i only have been in Bukit Malawati twice.

We checked in at 1245pm.Outside was very very hot and there was no rain since 3 days ago.

We just spent our time in the room.Relax for me means no house works.Yiee piee... About  2 and half hours resting, the children were screaming for the pool. They just didn't care about the weather.Well, kids....We had our late lunch cum tea time. What we had were oily spring rolls and oily fish and chips.Fresh watermelon juice and longan. After tired of diving, swimming, screaming and jumping, we went back to the room and get ready to go  to night market nearby to explore the local food.

Brought back a lot of food, ate until had full stomach, we waited to go to attend a small gathering after my sister in law's funeral at night.Usually in this gathering  we have to recite the prayer and after that small dinner will be held.In Javanese family here they serve 'Nasi Ambeng' to the villagers.
Met an accident in our journey.
Nasi Ambeng is served in big plate call 'talam'.It consists of rice, vege, one whole chicken, noodle, and 'serunding' made of shreded coconut with spicy flavor. It will be divided into 4 portions to the 4 person who recite the prayer. This person will bring back the nasi ambeng and eat at home with the family.

My sons were very happy to have this first experience.Ate until i asked him to stop.I hope i could have this experience again..We went back to the hotel. The next morning, we had our breakfast at the small stall in Bukit Rotan. The stall is under a big tree.We had a fresh air here. The best nasi lemak that i ever had before. Most important, cheap...We continued our journey back home with new energy and spirit to start new day tomorrow. What a day...
