Of all the countries that I have visited, Japan is next to China the most elusive and overwhelming one by far. Because of its beauty and crazy contrasts, but most of all because of its people. Although due to a failing camera I can’t show you crystal clear Mount Fuji that I was very lucky to see on a rather rare occasion, I hope these pics give you an impression of the wonderful month I had back in 2006 and inspire you to pay a visit to this stunning country.

Many people �" Japanese and foreign visitors �" come to Japan in april especially to watch the cherryblossom come out. Some of them even follow the blossom trail al the way from downsouth to upnorth.
