Sóller

Once the train had reached Sóller we directly went to the tram which links Sóller and Port de Sóller. But I will stick to Sóller at this point and break the chronological order.
Sóller lies in a large bowl-shaped valley. It is a small town (7,000 inhabitants) with the charm of the Mediterranean. The combined population of the city and the surrounding villages is around 13,000. Sóller is well known for its big orange groves and for being an important example for the Catalan Modernisme. Downtown you find the nice Plaça Constitució with the church San Bartolomé. We sat down at a shop and enjoyed pure and fresh-squeezed orange juice - delicate! We also indulged ourselves in eating the famous Soller-ice cream (orange again)! Wow, it tasted sooo well!
