Peguera
April 4, 2004
Peguera is not known for spectacular sights. There is no harbor, no fishery - just tourism. The only exception is a residential estate called "Cala Fornells". Since it was located only a stone's throw away from our hotel we had a look. Well, nice. But definitely not a must-see.
Germans (like me) have a handle on this city. That does mean that it is practically impossible to talk Spanish with anybody - the waiter in a local restaurant e.g. Well, of course you can give it a try. Unlike many tourists - at least this was my impression - I did. But everybody would answer in German. How sad.
I love to learn foreign languages. At least some phrases. Mallorca in some areas seems to be rather a German island than a Spanish one.
