Day 9 – Reunion Tower and the Texas Grill
We wake up in our own time without anyone else to wake us which was fantastic!! Once we are ready we head for the bus stop to go to
When we get off the bus we expect to see lots of people since it is a city centre and all, but in actual fact, there was not 1 single person anywhere!!
We headed towards the reunion tower and headed to the top floor which was the spinning restaurant -Antares! Since we couldn't afford to buy food, we got another smoothie - chocolate and caramel - and I can safely say it is the single best thing that I had tasted the whole time I was in the
Since we were starving and nowhere was open we went to the only place that was open - which was the Texas Grill. It was a typical Texan restaurant - and they loved us!! Of course we ordered a sloppy joe - typical
We headed back to the hostel after this, but since we missed our stop - meant this took 2 hours longer than it should of and we had to do the whole route again!
Marta was arriving that evening at 12pm so we chilled out. At around 8pm we decided to order a pizza. Well, 1 thing Texans aren't is English speaking. 30 minutes and £20 later we finally decided to pass on the pizza. They purely couldn’t understand 1 single word that we said. We headed down to the gorgeous lake alongside our hostel to watch the sunset. A pretty amazing view!!
I couldn't wait for Marta to arrive since me and Meghan were verging on killing each other!! When she finally arrived at around 1am we headed straight to bed!!
We went to the top floor, the rotating restaurant! We only bought a drink as the prices were insane!!
The views were spectacular! They really were great, but to be honest - not worth the price it cost to eat there!
Although - to be honest - it was probably one of the only things to do in Dallas, so for that reason it is worth doing!!
My advice would be to just buy a drink so that you can see the views!
