I went to Toronto
April 5th-April 7th. I was headed out there to check out opening day as the Blue Jays hosted the Tigers. The flight was great because I was able to see Lake Michigan, Lake Huron, and Lake Ontario all from my window. Toronto has a small town feel, despite being a large city. The city is extremely diverse. When i got off the plane, most of the people that I saw were from India or Pakistan. Immigration gave me a hard time because I had recently got a DUI. They didnt want to let me in, apparently Canada is harsh on immigrants with DUI's. When i got the hotel I immediately went to check out the CN Tower. The line was so long, that I decided to just walk around and check out the city instead.
View of Rogers Centre from CN Tower.
The view of Lake Ontario was amazing. I headed back to the hotel to eat. I ate at the hotel restaurant and watched the Blue Jays BP. I went up stairs to take a nap. My intentions were to go to the Raptors game, but I overslept because the beds were sooooooo comfortable. I woke up and was bored, so I headed out looking for a bar. I walked everywhere and I couldnt find anything to do. I eventually stumbled upon a hostel that had a small bar in it. I went in and had some Molsons. The bartender was from Australia and the kid next to me was from Switzerland. We were both drinking by ourselves and we instantly became best friends for the night. We drank a lot and the headed to a club called Tryst with the English tourists. After that I really dont remember much. I know I was drunk, but I dont know how I got home, and I ended up losing my ID and my debit card.
Glass Floor in CN Tower
HA! The next day I got up and went up to check the CN Tower out. There was no line because it was so early, and the fact that it was SNOWING!. Limited visability and they wouldnt let you go to the top...oh well. After that I headed to the Hockey Hall of Fame. Really cool place, but a lot smaller than I had imagined. I took a picture with the Stanley cup, and saw a very attractive girl next to me. I was surprised to see a girl in a hockey place, but hockey is very popular up there. Oh yeah, I also noticed that a lot of the women police officers were extremely attractive...totally impressed me. I then headed to a vintage clothing place that I read a bout called Cabaret. It was a pretty cool place. I then ate at a burger place called Hero's. I also found a vintage record store...there were a lot of small buisinesses in Toronto, I was surprised that it wasnt that corporate. Went home and then took a nap to get ready for the baseball game.
