We decided to do some local tourism on Sunday, therefore we went to Rincon, it is located in the western part of the island. It is about two and half hour drive from San Juan if you go thru the north using expressway 22. Sometimes in January you can watch whales, but this time we were not lucky. However there was some kind of surfing competition, so it was fun to watch it. We never went close to them, so my pictures are from a long distance. We were located where the lighthouse (faro de Rincon) is and the competition was to the right of the lighthouse. We left around noon so I did not know who won.
