I had my last day of work on the Sunday, had my last rabies shot on the Monday morning and did last minute shopping Monday and Tuesday. Left the apartment around 1pm to go to the train station to take it to London Gatwick for the 9:15pm flight direct to Windhoek, Namibia that night. Pretty exciting!! Picked up a few magazines and was on the way to London.
Once there at the airport I had plenty of time before boarding the plane so had a healthy roll and iced mocha for dinner - which kinda removed the fact that the roll was healthy - i know, and had a look thru the shops that were still open. The biggest mistake of this day was walking into the bookshop. 4 for the price of 3.. or something like that - and then there are signs saying that I can leave them there until I get back.. but nooo apparently I couldnt. 10 novels later and extra hand luggage weight I pretty much dragged my onboard bag around the airport and sat infront of the airport screen waiting for the all clear to go board the plane. Didnt even open a book.
As usual (for me) I got a gate change so dragged my bag around the airport looking for the other gate. A few hours later the plane was in the air and on its way to a whole nutha country that you cant get to by bus!!!
