As the title written above, this is our first trip after I gave birth to Raka last December. We went to Lembang, West Java on 5th April, 2007.

I love Lembang very much. Basically, I love fresh air, mountain scenery, and green environment and Lembang fits to all of those. So, we went there by our car and took the highway that connects Jakarta-Bandung. The highway was such a big help to us, also to Jakarta community. It enables us to shorten the time took for the trip. Back to some years ago, we had to go through ordinary streets that were crowded by trucks which delivered many things from factories sorrounding Jakarta or brought many agriculture products from Sumatera islands.
Hi mama, I can lift my leg! Yippiee...
At that time, it took 4 hours drive. Nowadays, it only takes 2.5 hours drive. On the other hand, since people are coming into Bandung, the city becomes overload, especially during the weekends. That makes traffic jump all over Bandung. The temperature of Bandung also risen-up. It is no longer cool anymore. On the daylight, the temperature is only slightly below Jakarta's. That's why, we prefer to stay in Lembang than in Bandung because Lembang is a bit far north from Bandung and the air still fresh and cool.

We were afraid to take this trip actually. This was our experience to travel by bringing a 3 months old baby. We have never been in this situation before when Rara was a baby. Though, we still want to do the trip so we just went and wondering what it would be then.

We stayed at La Oma Hotel. It was a nice hotel and we like our stay there. See the review for further details.

These days were the holy week before Easter. The day we went there was White Thursday. So, when we arrived, we went to the nearest Catholic church from the hotel and checked the Holy Mass schedule.

At night, we went to that church. Before the Holy Mass began, there was a light raining. Soon after the rain stopped, the night's air was fullfiled with songs from frogs and crickets. Sometimes the songs stopped and then the tranquility came afterward was so splendid. I could sit down calmly inside the church, started my meditation and did reflection through my entire life. It was a peaceful moment for me.

Then, after having many long nights and difficult days taking care a new-born baby, I feel so refreshed and happier. I came home fully charged and ready to go on, living my life completely......Thanks Lembang.....Thanks for your help.
