It was another early morning day for us as we caught an early breakfast before the coach bus arrived to take us to Xcaret. Stopped to several hotel/resorts before a 90-minute bus ride down the coast of Quintana Roo to Xcaret.
Xcaret, meaning "small inlet" in Mayan language, is an eco-park with Mayan ruins, cenotes, and Cancun beach access all in one place. This eco park showcases the Mayan culture and archeological sites within its compound.
We snorkeled at the cenote-seawater for an hour. Watched the dolphins. Lunch at the outdoor buffet restaurant with a gorgeous sea view.
Checked out the turtles, the jaguars, the butterfly conservatory, the ostrich, and the aquarium before heading to the Mayan Mexico show.
We decided to have dinner there - $50 per person while watching the show. The food was good. A 2-hour show where the first half of the show was fun and the 2nd half was torture - too much dancing and singing. It got boring after awhile.
After the show, we headed back to the parking lot where our coach bus will drive us back to our hotel. Exhausted.
