Out of place?

Off to Mexico... Mexican sunset
I felt out of place amongst the spring breakers on the plane and when we reached Cancun Airport. I wasn't that much older than the typical spring breakers, but I did. And so did my best friend who accompanied me to this trip.

When the shuttle that will take us to the hotel/resort arrived, we met a group of guys from dunno where in the U.S who already stocked up on their liquor. I saw a bottle of vodka, rum, and hmm.. tequila in the clear plastic marked ' Duty-Free'. When I commented that they were ready to party, they asked me in return if I will be partying that night, too. When I said, "Maybe not", they were shocked. Yeah. I definitely feel out of place and old amongst these people.

After checking in, wandered thru the hotel to get our bearings and had dinner at the main dining hall for a buffet of stewed beef, baked fish, and, potatoes. We sampled the desserts: fresh fruits.

.. yummy, sweet papayas, mangoes, and grapefruit. Then the pastries... oohh my favorite... flan... and coconut ice cream with hot fudge and a sprinkle of shredded coconut flakes! Awesome~!

Stuffed, we walked around some more, and  hung out by the bar where most of the spring breakers were hanging drinks. A small stage nearby had 2 performers belting out karaoke-like music, and a small dance floor where others dance.

We asked for our margaritas and pina coladas, hung about a bit, watching the young crowd dancing to the music of "electric slide" and the like, before deciding to retire for the night.
