First Day in Fii
So as I was about to board the plane, I saw a friend from NZ which I had no idea was going to Fiji as well. He told me that two of his friends were with him so we all decided to hook up and travel together. Who would have guessed that I would have found people I know in another country.
I stayed in Nadi for the first night at a backpackers called Nadi Bay Hotel. This was a great little place. They had a restaurant on-site, a small pool, and a concierge service. I was able to meet some great people that were traveling through as well. The hostel wasn't too far from town so we were able to make the most of it. We ventured into town to look through some of the shops and talk some locals about the best places to visit. The only downside to this place was the location. It was right next to the airport so all you heard were planes taking off and landing. It wasn't too bothersome though. Tomorrow, up the chain on the catamaran :)
